Close, I view Boston's cool season as more "subtropical" (its more like a cooler version of the midatlantic in terms of dynamics than the interior imo, limited cold snaps as well), and beijing's warm season as more subtropical. Since beijing has warmer transitions, a higher annual mean, and it has a comparable or higher hardiness zone despite avging a bit colder (somewhat shieleded by the mtns from continental intrusions), I answered Beijing, but I see both as having some Cfa traits but incompletely.

Beijing because it has basically the same mid-winter means as Boston especially when you consider that Boston's airport is right on the coast. Outside of winter and November Beijing is undeniably warmer.

I'd say NYC vs Beijing are comparable in their degree of subtropicalness.
