I do much better in cold weather. The heat and humidity are hard to deal with. There's something about looking at a sunset through an icicle. Or the soft pink glow on the snow just before the sun sets on a ski slope. I love walking on the first frosty night with the crunch of leaves under your feet. We have a large deer population in our village but it's rare to see a buck. One night when I was walking the dogs on a crisp fall night, there was two bucks and a doe walking around town. That first significant snow fall is magic, especially with the town decked out for the Christmas season. I love wearing my toasty warm boots and warm winter coats. My dogs had boots, sweaters, and matching ski jackets. Now it's just the Yorkie, but he loves sledding and winter walkies as much as I do. There's a lot to do in all seasons, but I think fall is my favorite.

I like it when it rains instead of snows.

Then Move to Alaska, that ought to change your mind on how you feel about cold weather and snow.

Yeah, I would want to move there. I would love to experience a strong winter. I would still love the cold and snow. I would go outside alot during the winter. But in summer, It’s only if i have to.

I would only want oppressive heat if i want or have to go swimming or to a waterpark.

We enjoy the four different seasons.

Autumn brings the delightful scent of apples, dried leaves and wood smoke. No artist can match the beautiful colors of the trees as their leaves change from green to red, yellow and orange. It's time to pull the wool sweaters and blankets out of storage, and to stock up on hot cocoa.

Winter gives us a refreshing break from yard work. What's better than sipping a cup of hot cocoa and watching a winter blizzard roar beyond the window, constantly churning and rearranging piles of snow?

Spring brings new life, colors and smells as flowers push themselves up towards the light and the warmth. Hummingbirds return to their feeders.

Summer brings BBQs with friends, trips to the beach and campgrounds.

Both hubby and I agree that removing any component above would negatively impact our enjoyment of life on this planet. We've been New Yorkers all our lives. We'll die here feeling blessed to have been born here.

Winter is a time for views of snowcapped mountains, skiing, sitting by the fire, good conditions for outside work, and winter fruiting citrus, papaya, guava etc -plenty to like about winter.

Lowered crime rate.

Most of the time I'd be afraid to wander out in Downtown Toronto at night. But if it's below 0, I feel completely safe because criminals are too busy hiding from the cold.
