I wouldn't enjoy the Chicago winter. Not saying that Chicago has a good climate, just that it's not as bad as Denver.

We weather forumers can have pretty weird preferences that may seem strange to non-weather forumers. My preferences are far from the weirdest. lol

Denver has less humidity. That's a good thing.

Denver: sunny and low humidity, healthier climate vs humid year round Philadelphia + dirty contaminated air there..

What climate problems other than high amounts of predictable humdity in the summer?

Phila., very rarely get direct hits from hurricanes.

Phila. get tornadoes but nothing compared to other areas.

Phila., is not in the big snow belt areas like Boston is.

Phila. does not have a fire season.

Phila. has had drought periods but still nothing like the western parts of the country.

The air is far dirtier in Denver : not enough rain to clean it and rocky mountain in the west which reduces the air circulation. Pollution stagnate at Denver...
