When would you like your first lows in the 40s?

In 2097.

We have summer lows in the 40s even sometimes when days get into the 90s

If you experience your first lows in your 40's, you've led either a very good life or a very sheltered one.

The San Diego airport averages 51 lows a year in the 40s and 1 low a year in the 30s.

Doesn't really matter to me as long as I see them most of the time. I don't mind 40s in the summer as I have just experience my first 40s ever in August now. It went down to 42 like a few days ago, but when I went out it was already in the low 50s. I will probably see a few 40s in the next few nights. I certainly don't mind them in late August/early September. It feels refreshing after spending a summer in the Houston area.

We had a couple of nights in the 40s in July in our second home in North Idaho! Our wood stove wasn't hooked up, so we were freeeezing. We had to drag the old portable propane heater out and heat the house that way. Now I think of that as heaven. We're back at work in SoCal, and nighttime temps during this muggy heat wave haven't gone below 65. Will we see nighttime temps in the 40s? Only if we grab a weekend in the local mountains, Idylwilde, Lake Arrowhead or Pine Valley. Which we may well do, in October...

We can have a low in the 40's any month of the year, which is OK by me. Lows below freezing, not so desirable IMO.

It's hot here, bad summers. Stays hot a long time. It gets into the 40s in I want to say late October? All I know is you notice it's chilly on Halloween. A little earlier would be fine with me as long as it was warm during the day.

Never. I don't like it below 50 degrees. Good thing I live in Florida.
