My ideal is ridiculously low but that's because I really live cloudy weather and hate sunny weather. Ideally I'd like less than 1,000 sunshine hours annually. You can also talk in depth, like about monthly preferances.

I have way too many sunny days here, in Texas. Not fond of it - I prefer partly cloudy to mostly cloudy all year around.

I lived near San Francisco for 30 years, then on the leeward side of Hawaii Island for another 12 years. I am thrilled to be in sunny Tucson. Yeah, it's hot, but it's not a cloudy heat.

Ideally, about 2000 hours a year with less than 40% cloud cover. Full sun, as in ZERO cloud cover, very rare (maybe 7-10 times per year)

probably 2,300-2,400 hours would be ideal.


I wish we had more partially cloudy days, as opposed to be have mostly sunny days in the summer and mostly overcast days in the winter.



Our summers are sunny enough, I'd like the additional sun to be during the winter.
