It only occurred to me earlier today that I had not posted my (finished) draft of my proposed Moss Climate Classification System. WARNING: It's super long!

I have also included classifications that do not necessarily exist today but theoretically could and probably do in some millenia. It is designed to be very smooth and transitional with detailed temperature classifications even for arid climates. Let me know what you think.

It has 56,048 characters, but the limit here is 50,000. I'll do A-C in this post and D-F in another.

Spoiler

It would have been a lot faster to explain what each letter means on their own rather than explain every single category in your system. My climate is Bff.

Bff/Bsf borderline for me in Vancouver. Most of the city is Bff but the far southern suburbs would be Bsf.

My city is still a Dfb though sometimes the weather would have you believe it is a Efb

Pretty cool hearing what climate zone you're in! Bfd/Cfb border for my county seat (which I hadn't even thought about when defining it all).

Absolutely awful. A never-ending grid with fantasy names.

Montevideo: Afd – Moderate tropical transitional rainforest climate (WTF 1)
Buenos Aires City: Awd – Moderate tropical transitional monsoon climate (WTF 2)
Buenos Aires Airport: Bfb – Lower humid subtropical climate, even though winters are a bit drier than “monsoonal” BA city (WTF 3)
Rosario: Awwd - Moderate tropical transitional monsoon savanna climate (WTF 4)

Awb = Asb
Awwb = Assb
Etc.

High sun / low sun season is irrelevant around the Equator, where the highest point occurs around the equinoxes and temperature is steady throughout the year. It’s just a matter of the position of the ITCZ which may lead to “dry summers”. For instance, Libreville vs Port Gentil, in Gabon.

I'm in a Cfb area, but nearby Nashville is Bfd.

My ideal climate is still called "Dfa" under this system, though it now borders on "Dfb".

I included that because while most tropical monsoon and savanna climates have a winter dry season, some (e.g. rain shadow regions of Hawaii) do not. Also, I understand that you consider the grid to be "endless", but as I've said, I preferred to make the system very transitional (which Koppen somewhat failed at and Trewartha way more so) and include temperature classifications for arid regions (which both also failed at).

So we're pretty similar, except I could be just barely in either.

Really? Where might that be?

Here is a copy of something very close to my dream climate. In real life, it doesn't exist, though there are "A" grade climates.
