HE vs. LL. Suffice it to say, both climates would have a percentage rating in the negatives, but I'd take Calypso because at least you can go outside in December, January, and February.

Even though I rate Vostok a Z, it's way better than than Calypso. Calypso is Z-. At least I could dress for Vostok's summer. And sunny cold easier to tolerate.

Also, the sun is probably very dim in Calypso, perhaps perpetually yellow or orange with the occasional dust storm.

I find this a very difficult decision. If it's next to a hypersaline lake, high humidity (even 20-30% here) = lethal conditions a lot of the time.

You can go outside in at least 4 months out of 12 too for Vostok.
