won't be good in Seattle for long though! Back to 60F and rainy/cloudy crap by mid week! Same as here! Goodness, if such a thing occured in Melbourne in late November, I'd be mortified.

May is not supposed to be summer in Canada... especially mid-May.

It CAN be summer in mid-May when we're say, 5-15 F above normal.
We've even had summer start in mid-April. (once in 50-100 years)

Normally, summer (meaning predominantly 70+ F days) in Toronto starts in the last few days of May.

This year my best guess is by the second week in June.

Right now, it is precisely mid-spring in Toronto.
The trees are leafing-out, tons of flowers everywhere and early spring blooming plants are already finished blooming.
It's really pretty outside which offsets my mood on our typically chilly mornings.

where did you see rainy/cloudy? It might rain on Tuesday and Wednesday but May is very dry and it will be just cloudy

^^ that is cold. Very cold. That is not nearly summer at all. If I got that in late November, I'd be upset. Moderator cut: word changed

And cloudy weather, dry or not, is crap and depressing.

^^ lol that's funny. 2 days of summer warmth and they're crying!! And it is like 36ºc MAX!!! That's impressive for Seattle, but still, 36ºC is a real summer temp, not icy cold cloudy 21ºC.

Don't worry, people crap themselves here when we get normal summer temps aswell. I guess global COOLING has F'ked their minds.

Generally I would agree with you...
But I don't mind it being overcast and say 75-90 F (24-32 C).
Granted, overcast weather is pretty unusual when it's that warm out.

Yes overcast is ugly, but as long as there's no chilly, cold claminess to go with it. Usually it's pretty muggy when it's like that, but mugginess is not a bad thing for me.
