I am having one heck of a time trying to control weeds when it always seems to rain when I'm off work and able to take care of matters..... not to mention the mud!
Anyone going to plot my demise if I say winter please?
Well, if we could have a REAL springtime, it would be nice. 59 degrees when we're supposed to be in the mid 70s isn't my idea of springtime. Our trees and bushes are FINALLY in full bloom. I planted a few flowers and they're hibernating cause they get such limited warmth.
Oh, I agree. Spring is the worst season. My hay fever is just insane. I sneeze year-round, but spring just kills me. When I do go out, I dislike the rain and the mud. I used to live where I felt like I did nothing but weed. I would weed for 3 hours, then dream about it all night long. When I lived in Russia, spring was when the snow started to melt away and the dog poop would resurface. Horrible. So, I'll take winter over spring any day.
We actually had spring this year in Chicagoland. It usually goes from chilly to warm within the span of a few days, but this year has been pretty gradual. It wasnt hot until yesterday, when we reached 85 degrees in some areas, now today its back in teh 50s and 60s and warming to the mid 70s by the end of the week. No allergy problems for me either yet, which is nice!
Not being a gardener, I like Spring in Seattle (of course not as much as summer)... Second sunniest season next to summer, cherry blossoms come out in the quad at UW, and the days are still getting longer.
Well I thnk I'll get some help this weekend from the weathermaker. My plans are not only to get the usual done; mowing, weedwhipping however I also have a landscaping project...... crossing my fingers that it works
