Powerstorm, remember when you said that we'll get a few sunny days this week? ( by da way this is not a dig at ya, just a typical example of Melbourne weather)
Tuesday showers (formerly was supposed to be fine)
Wednesday Fine. Strengthening wind. Min 10 Max 16
Thursday Few showers. Windy. Min 11 Max 15
Friday Shower or two clearing. Min 10 Max 16
Saturday Fine. Min 6 Max 15
Sunday Mainly fine. Windy. Min 9 Max 16
Monday Few showers. Min 11 Max 15
Can't say that I'm happy this time about being right all along.

SAB, I sent you another message with questions about Australia a while back that it seems you haven't noticed yet...
One question was about beaches.
Maybe some other Aussies might like to answer:
So I hear during certain times of the year, certain beaches are unsafe to swim.
I think in the north, certain parts were supposed to be bad in the summer.
If I came down for a visit in December, January or February where would be safe (or not unsafe) to go in the ocean?
Anywhere near the Great Barrier Reef?
Brisbane or southern Queensland?
Sydney and further north up the NSW coast?
Perth or anywhere else in Western Australia?
If I'm having fun I can handle some cold when it comes to water temperature...
Where in Australia would the sea be 20+ C and still safe to swim, in summer?

Here its the middle of winter and the ocean temps are 19 degrees
I think the beaches are fairly safe here.

That's almost like summertime up here.
This isn't exactly weather related, but.....
They showed Perth on one of our early morning shows. It looks very nice there even the bits they showed of it. The story was actually about a newly divorced man who was selling his life. He had a beautiful home and even his job went with the deal. It's supposed to be listed on ebay. I thought about you guys right away. He said originally he'd had fake bidders so it was very high, but now the actual bid is up to $300,000 Australian dollars. What is that amount in the U.S.?

hmmmmm.... Thats just a little odd Jammie.... NOT! Its too odd
It is going to get very windy here. Winds to 100km/h tonight and during Thursday. It calmed down a little in the past hour after some gusts this morning, but I can see the clouds starting to develop in the southwest now... By the way, 3mm in the gauge this morning.!

300,000 aus dollars = 286,000 US dollars. hmm $300,000 is cheap for a home...the average is $450,000.

Wow, that's like in some of the more popular places of the country. I have no idea what the price will really end up being because it was still supposed to be listed yesterday. He did say his boss is adventurous and agreed to give the new person a chance. And I agree, it's a bit strange. He just said that everywhere he looked, he was reminded of his past and the life with his ex and he just wanted to do something different. He was a fairly young man so who knows~this may catch on and others may do it.
