we just got some rain and tiny hail and thats about it.
The setup that we had (secondry cold front and low south of Vic) did not work with the winds that were over Melbourne. The westerly winds were too strong and dry, and when the tended southwesterly everything died off apart from the showers....

Slight risk (less than 2%) for a storm up until Tuesday night for Melbourne. You may not see it yet, but Wednesday is looking like a Summer trough setup statewide across Victoria... WIll have to see.

Generally fine and sunny here at first today, however afternoon cloud developed. Some rain near the low near Mt Gambier at the moment, and it will be interesting to watch and see if it does anything before moving south....

It was a fine day again today. The temperature was nice at about 16 degrees however there was some high cloud about. Some cumulus developed this afternoon and looked like developing further however it stopped and generally died...

To keep yourself going just think 'we will get a thunderstorm soon... we will get a thunderstorm soon...' Maybe that will help. I know when Melbourne does get a storm you will be all happy and chappy...

Mainly fine here today. Heavy morning fogs cleared to a sunny morning then cloud developed from the northeast and now from the west ahead of the next approaching system.

A big cold front recently passed through, Which gave us a nice 20mm rainfall out here in the West.

It'll keep us rural folk happy for awhile.

to be honest, If I lived 40km north of year, I'd see about 10 times as much storms. Average storms days a year is perhaps 1 or 2 at best, but in the Yarra Valley it's like 15.

btw, that won't keep me going because Melbourne is one of the UN-stormiest cities on the planet.

Very ture SAB, I would rather be somewhere stormier than Melbourne also!

Mainly cloudy here today ahead of the approaching cold front which is currently near central Victoria. We have had a few brief showers since lunch but nothing to record in the gauge. I saw the radar earlier and they showed some nice storms over eastern SA and they crossed into western Vic but died. None here. I expect a few more to develop tonight about the western districts of the state.
