the one good thing about the current crop of horrible weather is that the nights are tolerable.

51 F was the minimum here.

Sorry to say SAB, but tomorrow is going to be a generally cloudy day again with some sunny breaks possible later in the day. Morning fogs also.

The better news is, our dry state of Victoria might actually get some rain next week. As I have said earlier, we are likely to get the upper low (upper low 'pressure trough') about Monday to Tuesday. Rain extending from the west on Monday (reaching Melbourne later), then clearing on Tuesday. Falls possible to 20mm maybe...

More interesting systems midweek. The NW cloud band that i said yesterday appears to have shifted further north now, so at this stage it will only affect northern Victoria. Apart from this, there is a cold front to watch that will bring rain to us later in the day, maybe some heavy falls also...

Watch GFS: http://www.weatherzone.com.au/models/ over coming days...

Cheers

This summer should be nice and sunny, with hot temperatures hopefully. I am missing the hot temps all ready...

Yeah true, but all well...

Should see some rain areas extend down from the northwest over the next 12 hours. A storm might pop up to...

Pathetic, just pathetic. The original forecast was for clear skies tonight, so I was upbeat at the prospect of doing my astronomy (which I had to put on hold for the last few months), but surprise surprise, all this freaking cloud moves in.

All those dingbats on Weatherzone are all really happy about this yet another impeding week of rain and cloud, **** off you w*****rs we've had 2 months of this crap already

Powerstorm, I saw you're post there aswell................

I thought you blokes were gonna talk in celcius?

I was looking forward to not having to convert for a change!

Anyway, it's COLD here in Melbourne where I am tonight, according to the thermometer on the fridge, 14c and there have been scattered showers overnight the last few nights.

What I wanted to ask is, is anyone else enjoying the frosts? We've had some almost normal frosts here of late, something I haven't seen in quite a few years.

Oh and SAB, not to rain on your parade, but the sky is pretty much clear here where I am.

it won't be for long. Look at the f****** satellite images.

What really s****'s me is that they'll forecast clear nights for up to a week, only to get bloody fogs rolling in at 8pm, then overcast days clearing at 3pm then getting the next fog comin again. then we get this s***.

Can't beleive how pathetically cold and cloudy it's been over the last few months. Each year our weather practically gets crappier. I though last year's winter sucked, untill now.

Sorry, not laughing at you, ( well I am , but not being mean ) but I thought I hated winter here, you seem to have taken it to a whole new level!

It was foggy and there was a thick dew and mist for most of the morning here and then sunny from about 11am onwards and quite mild really with a clear sky.

Actually it's interesting to me how there seems to be pockets of weather right across the city. I recall when I worked in town, how often other people would come in that lived in other parts of the city that had had extremes of weather overnight and we had the complete opposite where I was. Even just talking to family in other parts of the city the weather is very different at the same time in different places.

I've actually found our winters to be much milder the last 5 years than how cold and wet I remember them growing up.

Hope it clears where you are and you get to do your astronomy.
