Based on what?
You'd love a regular July day in Nice then.

Based on personal experience, a perfect average high would be 30°C for me (year-round), but I'd like it to be a little hotter in summer (around 32°C) with some occasional 35°C days thrown in for the "variety factor"

Probably his/her own physiology. 27C is too hot for my taste; 16C is much nicer. My ideal summer high is around 65F, or 18C. That's a high enough temperature to get a feeling of real warmth but not high enough to be uncomfortable or hot.

Based on my preferences. It was a joke. Summer highs in Nice are perfect, but the nights are a bit too warm. Actually been there as a kid. It was late May, and astonishingly the temps were 10C higher in Finland during that time.

28ºC.
The maximum temperatures of the nearest beach from where I live averages at 24ºC in July/August and it's a bit on the cold side.

The average for July/August where I live is 29ºC, and I find it quite pleasent. Once it reaches 33ºC it starts to get unconfortable.

70-76 F, but the lower end of that range. More like 73 F.

26°C with 31 on the hottest days and 21 on the cooler ones would be great. 25° is already great for me to get a pool...

87-95 please! (but that's with humidity, with dry heat I've gotta go with 96 or higher! )

All you cold lovers, I don't get you! I mean, temperatures in the 50's or 60's in the summer?
