I can say like many ohters here that yes, I have seen better May forecasts than these as well.
Would be interesting to know which one would be closer to the reality.

Dude I'm not boasting. That's not even a great forecast. It's a little above average. Last week of May has an average high of 24C here, with the last couple days averaging 25C. Plus this month would be only the 3rd month above normal here since last August. How many above average months have you had??

What's so special about 29C

And that's just one day. Look at the rest of the forecast. Nothing special

Here is a good end of May for Chicago, few 32C+ days.... Throw a 36C in there too....

It's better than 32°C or 36°C. May 2012 was unusually hot there, right? Your normal May high is in the low 70s, so mid 80s isn't exactly the usual.

Your idea of a great forecast is rather different from mine. Your forecast is better than mine than mine, IMO. Mine in IMO is subpar for May.

Remember this is the Midwest we have a wild temperature swings some days can be in the 50s and then some days in the 80s and 90s that's how we come out with an average of the low 70s.

I have a graphic somewhere on my computer that gives the percentage of days in the 60's 70s 80s and 90s during the month of May let me see if I can find it. I know we normally see our first 90° day on May 31. And I believe we average five days at or above 80° in May but I'll doublecheck once I find a graphic

Midway averages just over 7 days with highs in 80°F and above, 5 with highs in the 50s or below. Data from 1971-2014.

We average just under 6 days with highs in 80°F and above, 4 with highs in the 50s or below in the same time period. So less variable, but not a huge difference. We're at 8 days that went to the 80s/90s so far this month.

How can above average temperatures not be a good forecast?? That is like someone from the UK saying every summer forecast is crap as it isn't as good as the summer of 2003 or 2006

It's quite obvious he's just trying to wind up the northern European members...
