Average so far is 21.2C, so you are probably right....
As of today Chicago/MDW has an average high of 26.1C... We are probably going to end up 1C below average
Our June's have been good for our standards recently. Still no rain in our forecast though.. just 5mm so far this month, 3mm coming from some very light rain earlier today, other than that the rest has been dew and we haven't had a proper rainfall since 14th May! Everything very brown outside right now, which I guess could be good later on in July in terms of heat potential..
We'll see.. June 2013 was very dry as well, just 11mm, and July 2013 was the best since 2006 here. 2010 June was dry, and the July that followed was warm but cloudy
Dry Junes are generally a good indicator for a warm July to follow.. so maybe there is hope yet for this summer! Our recent dry Junes..
June 2013: 11mm
July 2013: 27C/15.3C
June 2010: 12mm
July 2010: 25C/14.7C
June 2006: 11mm
July 2006: 28.3C/16.8C
June 1995: 10mm
July 1995: 26.3C/15.2C
August 1995: 27C/15.6C
So actually, every time we have recorded dry Junes in recent history, we have had a good July.. odds must be high for a warm July at this point!
