Looks like we've got one more day left to squeeze out of summer.

The temperatures for the rest of the week look chilly after the past couple of weeks (we might have had the warmest first half of September ever), but actually none of those days are below average

That's about what we normally get around this time of year. Most years I lose interest a bit in what the weather's doing around now because it's usually too benign to really care about. Too late for proper heat and strong sun, too early for frosts and highs below 10C, too late for thunderstorms, too early for Atlantic gales and really wet weather, too early for decent foliage, boring sun times etc. Autumn proper doesn't get going until mid-October IMO.

Weather is bland and monotonous, here too. Might actually rain...

Thursday and Friday night would be chilly for August.

Yeah, I would prefer September with an average high of 15 C with an average low of like 3 C, that way frosty weather is common in September and fall gets going quicker. The lows in your forecast are too mild but still 500 times better than here lol.

ORD hit 74F/23C as the forecast stated, MDW 75F/24C, and my town 78F/26C. Warmer pattern coming up. Next week will feel more like August.

Today is 72/64 so far. Love the dryness. Pleasant, but cooler nights and much more variable highs would be better. I don't want 65 lows in mid September and 8 straight days with highs within 5 degrees of each other... Can't complain too much as it will be quite pleasant and dry.
