^^^ Sorry, but I just have to laugh at anywhere getting that in midsummer! It really is amazing how it's been so bad for so long, particularly up north. Here's our forecast - yes, it's sub-par but I'm actually not bothered at all because I've just got used to this as being normal now (if anything these forecasts in recent weeks have even underplayed the rain risk and overplayed the sunshine):

Tomorrow (15th) is St Swithin's Day, which in this country according to medieval legend is meant to determine the weather for the rest of the summer. This year there seems to be some truth in it - tomorrow should actually be the sunniest day for two weeks, and the long run of sub-20C maxes and rain every day looks to be slowly coming to an end:

Ugh this is getting tiresome. Back to the heat again. I'm actually loving this day with temps in the 70's and totally overcast. I get bored with same old. I hate days in the 90's anymore.

Still looks like crap for London, avg high should be 24 degrees, that is like Buxton getting 14-17 degrees or less every day.

The day 10-13 forecast (for what the 14-dayers are worth, which is often very little) gives 24-26C and mostly sunny though, which I haven't seen for a while. Either way, I think the second half of the summer will be closer to average than what we've had so far:

London weather forecast 14 days - Rain risk - Wind direction - HDD CDD
