And the next is WO forecast for Tallinn which is located in the north-western corner of Estonia having thus the coolest summers according to old and new mean temperatures. In this forecast it has higher temps than my place you can see.
After tomorrow's thunderstorms, it's going to get hot and dry for a while
14-day forecasts show cooldown later next week, but with no rain. A first dash of autumn maybe? If it happens, it's going to fit the traditional belief that the summer's end begins at the Assumption of Mary (15th of August).
The average high in August in Tallinn is 19,9C. The average low is 11,6C. If you want to call weather that's at least 6C (and mostly 10C) above average for five weeks in a row normal, that's up to you. But you can't argue with facts.
The only bias I see here is that some people want this warm weather to be normal because they like it. If it was below average by the same amount these people would be complaining about it just like I am now.
I would be perfectly happy with 20C highs but in recent years average simply doesn't happen. This year it's either 10C or 30C with nothing in between all summer.
The bias I can see is that some people don't want to accept the fact that recent decades have been warmer than in period of 1960-90 and they want to the real weather to be in frames of the old normals. They got 10 28c+ days in row and then say it is very unusual to have +26c weather, just is because it is not in accordance with averages of 1961-90. And it is not only a phenomenon of this very year of that 2014 but the whole period since 1991 has been warmer than the period of 1960-90. I don't know how will be weather after 50 years but you can't argue with facts.
As for me 32c is above my comfort zone although I think my attitude towards weather has not been that emotional at all and in my opinion my weather tolerance is good enough. Some people of course may have their own reasons, sometimes connected their health or whatsoever. As regards eg to the hot weather haters they are in my opinion more common in areas with very hot summers and are rather uncommon in colder and northern countries. Maybe some people should just need to train their weather tolerance and accept the weather like it in reality is.

Where is the data? If later decades are so much warmer, why is Tallinn colder in July and August in 1971-2000 data than in 1961-1990? What you're saying is average summer temps will be rising by at least several degrees in 1981-2010 and later data. That's what's necessary to make 26°C highs in August normal. Some vague global warming gospel isn't going to magically make subtropical highs normal here.
July 2012 was 1°C colder than average and local media exploded with news about crappy skiing weather, crops dying, a new ice age beginning, etc. This July was 3°C warmer than normal and now everyone's going "summer is supposed to be hot lol." The heat bias in a predominantly cold climate is as amusing as it is delusional.
But on the subject of heat, it's finally about to end.
