Even though Invercargill is extremely cold and is in my top 10 nightmare list, I doubt they have 100 freezes a year!
well looking at his forecast, it's mid June there(Mid-December) here, we have VERY similar temps to what his forecast says during the middle of December
^^ I think you'd like Invercargill, I'll take your word for it re the winters, but unlike you they don't have summers. their January average high is a whole 65ºF!!!
well, i like having 4 seasons. and my ideal summer high is 75-85 not 90-105 like here, my ideal winter temp is probably from -10 to 20, and lots of snow also, Invercargill i don't think gets that much snow........does it??
Tuesday, June 17: Sunny with a few clouds: High 75.
Wednesday, June 18: Sunny, with a few clouds: High 78.
Thursday, June 19: Partly Sunny: High 78.
Friday, June 20: A Chance of Showers/Thunderstorms: High 82.
Saturday, June 21: Partly Sunny w/ a slight chance of rain: High 85.
technically, Invercargill does have 4 seasons: Winter, winter, winter and winter.
forget about Invercargill then
nope. But they do have an abundance of grey skies and ugly cold rain.
lol, like the 4 seasons
i think winters with grey skies and cold rain are kinda boring. i love cold, cloudy SNOWY weather not cold cloudy rainy weather, cuz that's just depressing, IMO. I bet you the weather there is very monotonous in winter, right?

that's exactly what we've been having. Cold, cloudy grey monotonus wintry weather for the last 3 months. There has been perhaps 5 sunny days since April. I am depressed from it. Especially as I'm an amatuer astronomer.
In Invercargill, the weather is like this but is compounded by more rain with colder temps.
