Interesting topic SAB.

Living in Washburn Maine last year I will use the temps from there. It was kind of a mellow year as far as temps go. Not as hot as it has been and not as cold as it usually gets. Lots of snow, but kinder temps.

Highest high: 93 F - it hit 90+ 3 times last Summer 26th and 27th of July and 2nd of Aug.
Lowest high: -5 F on 21st Jan

Highest overnight low: 67 F on 28th July
Lowest overnight low: -37 F on 28th Jan

Great topic, SAB.

The record high for the town I live in was set in 1940 and it was 116. I believe the record high for my state was around 120 and they tied it last year.

The record low for the town I live in is minus 50 and that was set in 1955. What a year!!!!

There was a time in the late 80s/early 90s that we hit close to 90 below with windchill.

In the town I live in:
All time record high: 125 (think it was 1990)
all time record low: 11 (about 100 years ago)
High this year so far: 117 (last week)
low this year: 32 (several times early Jan, we hit that low usually just at sunrise for a short period so we did not have any vegetation damage)
Our lowest high this year was probably low 50's during a cold storm we had in Jan.
Our highest low was last Monday - 85.
The record highs for every month of the year are over 100 except for Nov (96), Dec (87)and Feb (92)

Nice thread SAB!!!

Highest temperature here in SW Victoria where I live would be about 43 degrees celsius/109 F. Was a scorcher of a day. glad we had a pull built that year. In fact it was the Summer just gone we had that high temp actually looking at the records. We broke the previous years of 42 degrees celsius!

Garson in AZ got me beat. In Las Vegas it has been in the one teens for 2 weeks now but we did not hit 117 yet. 114 degrees was our high so far.

But summer is not really hear yet.
