More than half of Canada is cold right now by my standards (under 65 F)...
Thankfully nowhere in southern Ontario and many other southern parts of central Canada.

This whole Australia/New Zealand thing is kind of surprising. Not the first places I think of when I think of cold I know it's probably winter there now and all but still.

where is it cold? How cold? What are the boundaries? Obviously it's cold at the north pole, but is this really what you mean?

The north pole. Northern Canada and Alaska. Many Many places in the Southern Hemisphere, since this is the beginning of winter. It's also really cold in Phoenix.
