Do you know any city of the U.S that does NOT need any A/C or heat year-round.

I can't either. The only thing I can think of is places where you don't need AC OR you don't need heat, but nothing comes to mind as to where you wouldn't need either one. Sorry.

Probably San Diego if anywhere. I know a lot of homes dont have A/C, and you probably dont need to run the heat much if youre a cold freak like I am. I love their year round temps, theyre incredibly comfortable. Its just a shame that San Diego is in, ummm, California. Bummer.

Well, I suppose it depends on your tolerances, but there are a few cities that meet this requirement.

Cities on the Southern California coast have mild summers in which AC is rarely (if ever) needed. Likewise, the winters are relatively warm, needing heat only in extreme cases. Of course, most people use heat in these cities, but it is not entirely necessary. Some Examples:

Santa Monica
San Diego
Newport Beach
Malibu
Santa Barbara

Coastal Southern CA within 5-10 miles of the coast probably requires the least amount of heating and cooling than any other place in the US. Once you go farther inland AC is definitely needed in summer and heat is for the most part needed in winter at night. I'm about 3/4 mile from the ocean and just have ceiling fans that work fine.

But that depends on your tolerance and how insulated your home is. I live in a crappy, old apartment and am a wuss when it comes to cold. So when the temp drops below 50-53 degrees I turn the heat on, but my roomate never does. And some of my friends have never used their heater and don't know if it actually works. I leave my bedroom window open every night and except for maybe 5 nights a year.

I would also say in SF you'll want heat b/c most of those buildings are old and drafty and it's in the 40's there in winter. And the rest of the Bay Area gets colder than that.

If you can handle a little warmth, I think living close to the water in Hawaii would also not require AC and sure as hell does not require heat anywhere in HI.
