well, what a dissapointing fizzer this non-event turned out to be And to top it off, absolute RUBBISH weather for the airshow
what a disgrace Freaking melborune
Same for Sydney, we were supposed to get showers/storms all week but ended up getting some days of yucky blue skies which was so depressing and some nice cloudy days in between but with no rain. I'd rather have a full blown southerly with heavy rain and cold temperatures or a ECL or a Black Nor-easter. Easterlies do no good for Sydney, brings either sunny or cloudy skies, humid light winds and if lucky at all, a shower that will do it's best to fall as lightly as possible

THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL OUTLOOK
Updated at: 6:58pm
Saturday: The high pressure system will move over New Zealand as a new high develops south of Western Australia. A developing low pressure system over Tasmania will extend a strong cold front towards Victoria and will move over western parts of the state before dawn and then central areas mid to late morning and the east during the afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms are a slight possibility with and following the change. There is also the risk of cold-air thunderstorms over the southwest later in the day. No severe storms.
EXTENDED OUTLOOK
Sunday: The high pressure system is likely to move into western parts of the Great Australian Bight as the low pressure system remains over Tasmania. An unstable southwest airstream is likely over Victoria however no thunderstorms are expected.
Monday: The high pressure system will remain over the Great Australian Bight as the low shifts slightly east of Tasmania, continuing the unstable southwest airstream over Victoria however no thunderstorms are expected.
Tuesday: The high pressure system will remain over eastern parts of the Great Australian Bight and extend a ridge over Victoria. Another but weak low pressure system is expected to develop a fair distance southwest of Tasmania. No thunderstorms are expected.
Wednesday: The high pressure system will remain over Victoria and the Tasman Sea and the weak low will be gone from the Australian region. No thunderstorms are expected.
Thursday: The high pressure system will remain in the Tasman Sea. A very weak disturbance may reach the southwest of the state later in the day. No thunderstorms are expected.
Friday: The high pressure system will remain in the Tasman Sea. There is expected to be a cold front approaching Victoria during the day, although it is uncertain if this front will reach the state or fall south of us. No thunderstorms at this stage.
Saturday: Its likely the high pressure system will remain in the Tasman Sea and that a new high pressure system develops in the Great Australian Bight. No thunderstorms.

I got an intense squall line on Sat afternoon with an awesome shelf cloud and extreme rain. But it was over as soon as it started, but it was the most awesome heaviest rainfall i've ever seen. If only it lasted longer....
Still angry that this rain and storms had to come this weekend, because the airshow was a complete writeoff because of the weather. Very angry in that respect. Missed the airshow for the first time in a decade. I wonder who is the retard who moved it to March....
oh noes, da sunshinezor will kill us all!!! poor Perth my heart bleedz for youse. It's not your airshow that was mangled by rain and cold, feel sorry for us.
