It's true, Dentonite. At least I think that's where you are. I lived there for about 20 years off and on. This is a very atypical summer. We were in a severe drought for two years, but all the flooding rains took care of it. Last summer it had been 100 degrees or more by now about 15 times; this year, not once yet. (Suits me!)
NO mention of the torrential RAINS that caused the drought to end. Just that it was over.
Let me guess... you like Bill O'Reilly?
The UK has been having one of the worst flood years in recorded history, so they're up to their ears (literally) in flood news from their own turf. How much air time has been devoted to the flooding in NW Europe, the fires, heat and drought in SE Europe, and other international weather news on American TV and radio?
The United States is just another country. People live their entire lives in other places without knowing what "Texas" is, so give them a break. We're not the center of the universe.
Four (?) weeks of flooding and not a word about that, just that it's drought free. Liz
This seems like a case of seeing the glass as half empty, when perhaps it is actually half full. Let's give the BBC credit, at least they got it half right.
Like TheHarvester says, "People live their entire lives in other places without knowing what "Texas" is, so give them a break. We're not the center of the universe." AMEN to that, even though Texas is not that far from Colorado, the true center of the universe.
regards....Franco
