Fellow forummers, do the seasons actually change or vary where you live?

Yes, the seasons change here in Colorado. Winter has snow, summers are hot, sometimes over 100 degrees. But weather depends on where in the state you live. Craig, where I lived for a few years, is usually cooler, whether it's summer or winter. I live in southern Colorado now, lower elevation, different weather.

I chose winter because i love the colder weather, but down here winter is 60s high and 40s low,but as soon as i move to colorado I'd still choose winter because of the snow and holidays and all.

I am in Canada, not only do seasons vary between other seasons,
but in many seasons the weather varies widely during any particular season...

Unfortunately the majority of our weather is quite cool to cold,
rather than our median temps being pleasant.
Not usually a harsh cold, but cold enough it "gets under your skin" after a few years.

Every year we experience many different kinds of cold,
including "mild cold" in the 50's and windchills in the -20's F.

Absolutely! And fall is the best of them all. I only wish it lasted longer...

I had a hard time choosing but I went with winter.

A good winter is very snowy and hopefully not too frigidly cold, and that's when I love winter the most. This is what last winter was like; snow every 2-5 days, lots of good-sized storms, and cool temps (but not often cold). However, a warm winter is absolutely agonizing because it doesn't snow much and usually there's that pesky inversion that causes haze and fog for a week or more. A cold winter is usually dry and also usually sees that pesky inversion hang around. I also don't like frigid cold without snow.

Depending on the year, spring and fall can also be my favorite seasons. Spring is great when it's a nice, wet spring with big storms every 1-2 weeks interspersed with just normal nice and sunny spring days. I love wet falls even more since it enhances the whole darker, transition into winter/Halloween type of feel with the leaves changing and falling and all that.

Summer is never my favorite season. Hot and dry for 3-4 months. Talk about agonizingly boring.

I think it depends where you live. But personally I love Fall, then Winter. I enjoy the sun and longer days of summer but the areas that I have lived Florida/Virginia/NY it is just too damn hot and way too humid which made it much less enjoyable.
