Interesting data. Rocky Harbor would certainly work for me. Averages over 37 inches of more snow than St. John's (not that I would complain about St. John's snowfall). As for my question, looks as though Rocky Harbor is cloudy, but still manages to average as low as 8 F during the winter. Their record low is -33 F, so I guess my -37 F isn't too unrealistic. I would assume even in St. John's, the day it dropped down to -10 F probably had clear skies. One of the things I'm trying to figure out is how cold it can get under cloud cover.

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7PM tomorrow night

It continues to be a cold, snowy day with temperatures in the low 20s. Total snowfall accumulations as of 7PM amount to 12 inches with an additional foot expected through tomorrow. Temperatures will plunge below zero early Sunday morning.

Sunday, 1/23: Sunny in the morning. Becoming overcast during the afternoon. High 12. Low -10.

Monday, 1/24: Cloudy. High 16. Low -3.

Tuesday, 1/25: Cloudy. High 22. Low 0.

Wednesday, 1/26: Snow. High 28. Low 16. Snowfall accumulations of 4-8 inches.

Thursday, 1/27: Snow ending during the morning. High 30. Low 19. Snowfall accumulations of 1-3 inches.

Friday, 1/28: Windy with snow, heavy at times. High 26. Low 17. Snowfall accumulations of 4-8 inches.
