If you go to this website: NOAA's National Weather Service you can now click on your region and see an updated topographic map that integrates towns and cities as well.

Oh, that is so cool and accurate, too. Yup, rain/freezing rain/snow. That's what it's doing.

I noticed that a couple of days ago, and couldn't remember if it was the same little picture that was there before or not. Didn't want to ask either, was afraid that it had been there for 6 months or something and I never noticed it .

I also like the fact that they incorporated landcover into the topo feature. You can now clearly distinguish certain areas of the central and eastern US as either agricultural or mainly forested.

OK, I've had NOA bookmarked for ages but I must be missing something. I like to see the radar for the whole country as Minn. and Dakotas send Wisc. their best weather and I have a favorites for Two Rivers individual forecast.

Where do I look to see what you are talking about or has it been there forever and I'm just missing it?

I was referring to the point and click google map that appears when you click on any region of the US on the NWS homepage. Here is a sample for my region:
7-Day Forecast for Latitude 43.27N and Longitude 71.6W

Thanks, I have the 7-day bookmarked for TR and for my sister in Yupperland (I love to bug her about the weather)!

I use that site alot, wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something! I am a weatherhound. This spring the NWS in Green Bay came to the UW Manitowoc and gave a weather spotter presentation. It was awesome, very informative. I lived in a mobile home for 30 yrs. before I moved here, wish I'd gone years ago!
