To Ion, east of the Cascades, it is a dry desert with hot summers.

ME, VT, NH

I was gonna say MN also...

I would definitely say NH, VT or Maine. I live in MN and it isnt MN as it can get quite warm in the summer and 100 or 101 is not uncommon in the west and south parts of Minnesota.

I would lean toward Maine...due to the south coast getting the sea breeze and preventing them from getting too hot and because you got to have the right wind direction to get the heat up into interior Maine.

Maine. I have family in Maine and they have no tolerance for the heat. If the temperature reaches 80, they complain that its too hot.

How about Rhode Island? A little over 1000 sq.mi. in area and none of it more than 40 miles from the Atlantic. Providence hit 104 once (I think) but I don't believe anywhere else in the state has seen the thermometer get past 98 or so...

Yes....but SE Washington near the Oregon Border gets 100 degree heat a lot......... Overall, I don't think WA is the state with fewest days over 100

Believe it or not, the Atlanta, GA area doesn't get triple digits often. It's a rarity and most years, there aren't any.
