Without using degrees, describe your ideal winter weather (snowfall, rainfall, storms)

A place that doesn't see snow,but has skiing nearby. Plenty of frosty mornings, that give way to frequent t-shirt afternoons. Frequent heavy warm rain with winter as the main thunder season, but still a decent amount of sun. Fresh oranges in winter are a given, and winter actually has more species of fruit on the trees, than summer.
