Between 7-8pm we had a drenching soaking rain - even a rumble of thunder.

We had some light rain Christmas morning and a bit more rain during the afternoon, but it quickly turned to heavy snow.

NE Wisconsin wouldn't report on this thread usually, Two Rivers might get 1/4" of rain, supposed to be in the 40's! Woohoo!

There is a down side to this but I'll worry about that later (as in ice if temps drop)!

Started last night late and has changed from very light sprinkles to quite heavy at times. Which is alright by me, it gets rid of the snowpack fast. The snow has settled by 18" already today and it is going to keep going away until late this evening.

West of St. Louis and surrounding areas in the east central areas: Right now we are experiencing strong winds, very heavy rain, Thunder!!! Creeks around our home are full. Temp is 58! It is the thunder that is so fascinating to hear at this time of the year around here. Even a few lightening strikes a few minutes ago. We live in a very wooded area.

Kansas City - warm yesterday, 68 degrees, rain. Thunder and lightning last night, pouring rain (which we needed to wash all the salt off the streets as a result of temperatures near zero last week and ice/snow) HEAVY winds, 70 to 80 mph. It woke me up just after 5:00 a.m. Our lawn furniture on the deck was blown over, a very heavy cover that goes on lamp to the entrance of a condo complex ended up in our back yard somehow, and our neighbor's roof shingles were on our driveway. When I went t the post office this morning I saw power lines down, tree branches and limbs down. We just got rid of all our very old (50+), breaking in the wind trees; otherwise our yard would have been full of branches and limbs. Precipitation the last 24 hours 1.07 inches.
