Does anyone have any new information or input on the storm next Monday-Tuesday? I am wondering if the Virginia Mountains (Roanoke area) might get some snow out of this one. They have changed the forecast several times. I am told they are unsure if the track will take it east or keep it west. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a westerly track!!
Right now it looks like the track will be just off coast. If you go to
Weatherunderground and check out the model maps, you can track it yourself. The extended maps for over a week out look much more interesting, but may be rain for your area. Too far out though to tell for sure.
I missed the news this morning and now I'm at work. Does it look like we might get some snow in far eastern NC? By the way, trlhiker what town are you in?
I think this storm is going to bring rain from about Savannah, GA all the way thru NYC, than north of that it will be a Sleet/Icy mix until Boston, then it's snow from up there. That is just the coast though, I think it's snow all the way down through the Appalachains from Northern ME down to the mountains of Western NC/Eastern TN. With an icy mix in the North GA mountains and out towards Northern Alabama. We'll see how it pans out, it all depends on how far from the coast it will be..

I believe only eastern parts of Maine will see much snow. I think the storm is going too far off the coast. Boston may get scraped, but not too badly.
I hope I am wrong also.....cuz I would really like to see Hiker and yourself get some snow!!!
Well since I started this thread I'd like to see myself get snow too dxi..
