Those guys are called "Salemanders" I believe.

I have a family outside my house every so often.

I like them as neighbors...WHY?? they eat small bugs around the house be it inside or outside.

Oh, my gosh, picture is priceless!

I think I already mentioned when I was in Hawaii, in these low cement block buildings on slabs, you had to leave the little dudes or the other bugs that they consumed would drive you insane!

That's how exterminators make a living. We don't need geckos.

Oh gosh, I love that pic, Synopsis.

The ones in Fla. are little, cute dudes~fast-moving~not sure what they are though. I'll bet that's what you've got down there.

It's too cold for those tiny little guys to live up here. All we've got is ugly, big black, slow-moving, stone-age looking creatures.

I know your pain kay, it was in the mid 70's here today. My dorm has heat on and it was barely cool enough last night with the window open to be comfortable I woke up at 5:15 this morning to the sound of some bug hissing in the tree. Bradford Pears are starting to bloom too, ugh...this is stupid. Low in the low 20's Saturday and Sunday morning coming up too, talk about coming in like a lion. Kill those bugs that are flying in my window already!

The geckos ARE small and fast moving. The adults are about 3-4 inches long. The baby ones can be tiny, no more than about an inch and one-half long. they are usually "fleshy" colored with black stripes on the tail.
Like I said, alot of people think they are cute. I just don't happen to share their opinion.

We are supposed to get a cold front in though. So hopefully, they'll go back wherever geckos go when it's cold!!!
