Mid Willamette Valley for me. Where if you can't see the Coast Range it's raining...when you can, it's about to rain.

central Minnesota

actually my address town and the town I grew up in ( 9 miles away) and a town 12 miles south of me are the 3 towns that Garrison Keillor said make up --Lake Wobegon

He stated ( in one of his books )the fictitional town of Lake Wobegon is actually a composite of those three--------Albany, Freeport, and Holdingford.

I live 2 niles from where Stearns, Morrison, and Todd county touch, so I always say I live in the fictional town of County Line

That's cool, Marmac!!! I don't live too far from where Laura Ingalls Wilder's books were based on. I believe her first one was out of Mn., but something like eight of them were written from her memories by DeSmet.

I visited DeSmet a few years back, saw the homestead, and Pa and Ma's house in town. Loved the cottonwood trees, and the wagon ride to the old schoolhouse.

McAllen, Tx the southern tip of Texas, the part that actually touches mexico. The place where in the weather channel you can never see, because the logo or the name of the meteorologist gets in the way
