No more snow!!!!!!
I normally like snow, but this is RIDICULOUS! Sorry for the rant, but I am feeling rather grumpy. We went to bed last night and there was no snow in front of the door, no snow in front of the window, and we knew a storm was coming. We woke up to snow covering half the door as shown in the picture, and throughout the day, we watched the snow completely cover the window. We have been out to shovel SIX times to get the snow off the heater vent so we don't asphyxiate, and we are paying way too much rent for what? The owner just said, 'oh, it might snow enough for you to have to clear the vent'. But now what are we supposed to do? The snow is now officially at the level of the roof and we have a snow cave dug out around the vent with pipes sticking out to vent the gas. How am I supposed to shovel eight feet drifts when it is still snowing and coming down? There are drifts all around our house that are up to the roof!! I really am tired of snow, and tired of Nome. This is the third week in a row we have had a blizzard! Anyway, thanks for letting me rant. Sorry to the rest of you, because the storm is probably headed your way!

Now I don't feel quite so bad about the 4-5" we got last night! The snow isn't so bad but the winds howled so it really drifted in places (but not like your pictures)!!!
All we can do is think Spring, Spring, Spring!

Although sometimes I get nostalgic, and miss the snow (originally from Montana, lived there over 20 years), I am thankful to be in a much warmer climate down here in Texas, where it might snow once or twice on an average winter (and then its usually very light). Here in about 2 weeks, I will be moving to Corpus Christi, where it might snow once every 5-15 years! Life.... is good!

I want to live someplace where if you see snow you grab a camera (cuz it's so rare) rather than grab the shovel.

I'm with Marmac. We've had a few winters like you're describing. Most recent~The winter of 1996/1997 was horrible. Every two or three days we had a blizzard and there was SO much snow. It just made life miserable and it never seemed to end.

I would immediately move out of any place that had snow up to my roof...even in the heaviest of Lake Effect Snows in NE Ohio, it never got that high thankfully.

The Christmas Lights were to add some light in the winter. It is getting better now, but this winter it was dark about 21 hours of the day, so any light is good light!!!

OMG, you'd have to get the men in the white coats to take me away if I got only 3 hours of sunlight a day.
