Finally sunny outside.
In just one week my house has seen at least a foot of rain. Maybe 15 inches.
According the Weatherbug app on my iPod we got about 8 inches of rain yesterday with 66 inches of that occurring by 6 AM
I woke up at 1:15 when a storm was centered around Stone Mountain. I couldn't go back to sleep as it continued to storm for almost 4 hours as it finally moved away by 5 AM and we were left with some moderate rain. Originally Gwinnett County schools had planned to delay school by 90 minutes but it became clear that we couldn't go to school yesterday or today. Many places have had roads washed away. One neighborhood had a bridge washed away and now doesn't even have access the the main roads. Some neighborhoods in my school district are stranded as water has completely covered the entrance. Fortuantely my house was not affected.
