Ok, here we go...it is August 21, 2009 and it is 89 degrees and super humid here in New Haven County, central Connecticut. It is so humid that when I came out of the grocery store at 11:00 AM today, my glasses fogged over!! Rumor has it there is a cold front coming our way from the North that is suppose to chase Hurricane Bill away from us. Right now there is a warm breeze blowing out there at a pretty good clip, thundercoulds are gathering but so far not a rumble to be heard anywhere. I am thinking a good downpour would be a relief at this point in order to end this 7 day heat wave we have had. AND.........how is the weather in YOUR area of the U.S.??

The humidity is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE today in NH. The dewpoint is an extremely high 73F which makes the apparent air temperature feel 9F warmer. The current temperature is 88F with a heat index of 97F. Thunderstorms are developing in NY and VT and will slowly move this way- as long as they don't weaken.
