The storm moved quickly across the city leaving a moderate to heavy amount of rain. Some areas saw very little precipitation. Our electricity provider waited until the storm passed to have a three minute blackout that took out my main computer. I'm hoping it was just the power supply (it was behind a surge protector). I'll know later today when I replace it.

Good Saturday morning from CT!

We had a wicked thunderstorm move through last night with the loudest thunder I have heard...I think ever ....my poor puppy was quaking in the bed between us...too bad it didn't bring much relief...it is very sticky here..

To give you an idea of how ill-suited to warm and humid weather I am, I just mowed my front yard, which is about 50% shade. I use a reel mower which doesn't put off any heat like a gas-powered mower, and is no harder to push. It took about 20 minutes to mow. I'm now inside with a box fan on high aimed at me, covered from head to toe in sweat. I'm so sweaty that it feels like I mowed the yard in the rain. Did I mention there was even a nice, cool breeze? I'm starting to think I was somehow switched at birth with a child from Siberia.
