Anything below 81 degrees is "cool" weather for me. I can handle 55, but anything below that gets way too cold. 97-102 with really low humidity is Perfect weather with those clear/sunny days for me.
Wow, that's pretty hot for a place that's apparently so cold and cloudy. That's hotter than Lubbock's all-time highest temperature (114ºF). Does Melbourne have a heat wave like that most summers, or is that a very rare occasion?

the last time the temp got anywhere near as hot was in 1939. This was an extremely rare event, and statistically it is unlikely to occur again in our lifetimes.
Melbourne doesn't get heatwaves often, although we may see temps over 30C for a week at best occasionally, or perhaps 3-4 days at 35C. Days over 40C are usually a one-day event and rarely occur more than twice or 3 times each summer. Not impressive by a long shot.
The highest we have seen here in Corpus Christi so far this year is 93 degrees. It has hit this value three times:
- March 27th
- April 9th
- April 12th
We did see a 90 degree temp in February too. Oddly, no 90's this past January though.. we must be seeing the reverse of the greenhouse effect!
