I have 3 and don't use them. I did when I was working now I'm retired, I don't really care.
I have a huge golf umbrella, with all the incidents of lightning on golf courses why do they make these huge umbrellas???
A Totes travel umbrella that is nice, bought it 25 yrs. ago for a trip to London (hearing about the notorious weather), it was sunny and perfect, didn't need my trench coat or umbrella!
I actually have a lot of umbrellas. Have a couple of full-size ones. Have a bunch of mini sized ones!
My favorite one is a small, London Fog one with a wood handle. I can only get it online now and I have re-ordered them before. (I tend to leave umbrellas in restaurants.)
Where do I keep umbrellas?
Well, for starters, we do have an umbrella stand by the front door. In addition to that, I keep one in my car one or two at work! I do NOT like to not be able to access an umbrella!
I have a ton of them. When my Father who was a golfer passed away, I got all his umbrellas. One of my favorites is a green & yellow "vintage" golf umbrella from the 50's.
But my most favorite is from Natl. Wildlife Fed. It's green and white with a picture of the head of a baby ostrich looking like this LoL
Alas, we haven't had much use for umbrellas down here in South Central Tejas!!!
I have never owned an umbrella. Don't see the need to buy one when it only rains once or twice a year . And, when I did live where I could have used one on occasion, I usually had my hands and arms full with babies and all the accompanying junk they need. I always thought it would be cool to really need one and be able to use it....but...then I would probably forget it!
I don't have one. Usually, the only time of the year when the rain lasts all day is in the winter, when it's cold enough to wear a jacket with a hood anyway. Otherwise, storms tend to last 2 hours at most; I can just stay where I am until the sun comes back out.
When I lived in rainy Vancouver, I had umbrellas all over the place. Work, home, and car.
Here in Perth, when it rains, it's often very windy and an umbrella is pointless as it would be shredded or ripped from your hands. If you get wet, you just get blow-dried at the same time, so it's not a problem.
I don't use an umbrella....I'd rather be rained on especially after it's in the 90s with high humidity.....feels good.
