I've lived in the Victorville area since I was four and ever since I started getting around on a bicycle, I've noticed that I have extreme hate for the wind.
Any city that doesn't experience it as bad as here would be a good area to relocate to.

I'm also a hot weather buff as well due to the fact that while heat-stroke is something I'm naturally prepped for, cold literally makes me gag.

I don't hate the weather where I live, but it isn't my favorite. Spring has too much severe weather, and summer is too humid and hot (the nights don't cool off sufficiently). I'd rather live in a drier climate near mountains.

I like Houston winters and spring. I hated the weather in Oklahoma, always windy and hail. Ugh.

I would not leave where I am on the basis of weather or climate, in fact it's probably the best I've ever lived in. Warm temperate, but extremes are rare, summers are tolerable, and winters not too cold or miserable.
Climate statistics for Australian locations
It is substantially sunnier and warmer than Sydney, which is only 100 miles or 160k's south.
The only place I would consider is Perth or Southwest WA, or Toowooba Qld.

West Scotland could use an improvement in the weather. Too wet, not warm enough. But there is absolutely no way I would move. I love it here too much to leave.

I blame Jimmy Buffett for it all! (godblesshim) I moved from the not so sunny east coast to south Texas by the Gulf. Loved the weather there, just a tad bit windy though. Then, I moved to San Francisco, and hated the weather patterns there, although I didn't mind the fog. Now, I'm here in southern California, and so far, I absolutely love the weather. Sunny and warm.

i moved from new england to texas when i was almost eighteen. i now live on the gulf coast (thirty years later). it DOES get too cold for me here south of houston in the winter, seems like its either too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter! i have been thinking of moving to a place where there is more consistent weather, but still, i'd prefer it to be hot ALL the time than to have to deal with any more 30 degree winters!

Sounds like you need to move to SoCal or (better yet) Hawaii.

Those stats. don't contain any evidence for your "sunnier" claim - where's the nearest sunshine-measuring station?
