What was the temperature on your Birthday?
Ok let me ask this . What was the temperature the day you were born in the city you were born in? It was 106 on August 12 1988 for me. I think that may have been the hottest weather I've ever dealth with. Although I don't remember how bad it was .
So how warm was it on your first birthday?

I was born in a small town in Germany and I dont know where to get historical weather stats for there so I'll do Melbourne instead:
Feb 17, 1988 - low 13.6C (55F) / high 29.9C (86F)
it was also one of the crappiest February's on record.
On my first birthday:
low 19.5C (67F) / high 30.7C (87F)

Just a few degrees above freezing and overcast? (about 10-15 F below average?)
This was in mid-April.
(Glad I don't remember that )

Good question, I can't find info for 1947! Josh, I remember the summer of 1988 as being very hot and dry in the midwest.
My dad went to Iowa to see my sister, he was out of sorts being alone after my mom passed away. He came back home because of the heat, his place had central air my sister didn't at that time.

Interesting question. I had never thought about it before. I deleted my first post because I got the data for the wrong year.
June 29, 1992 - Lubbock, Texas
High - 91ºF (right at normal)
Low - 57ºF (cooler than usual)
Total Precipitation - 0.60"
Sounds like an average summer day with an evening thunderstorm.
