Summer nights here aren't much better than the day. The humidity goes even higher, and even more insects come out (if that's possible). On the plus side, the blinding, burning sun isn't beating down on me, so that helps some.
Summer nights that are warm enough for shorts are a dream of mine. Nothing like being able to stay outside all night stargazing without freezing to death, but rather with a warm fuzzy feeling.
Any amount of clothing is uncomfortable outside here at night in the summer. But of course, if you're naked that's just more exposed skin for the millions of insects to latch on to. BTW, have I ever mentioned that my arms and legs are pretty much completely covered with insect and spider bites all summer long? Yes, summer is quite enjoyable here!
Although I prefer cooler, much cooler....summer nights in Dallas can feel ok IF the humidity is down. That's what makes a difference to me. Summer days are too hot regardless, but yeah, the nights can be ok to be outside if it is very low humidity. I think it is humid more often, however, than it's not.

I was thinking about you and a few others this morning. TWC showed a concert that was in Arlington. (Paul McCartney, by the way.) I had a crush on him when I was very young. Anyway, they showed the huge line of people standing outside in 102 degree temps. Were you there?

No, that's something I would have enjoyed though! Though NOT the hot temps! You know me! (I also had a crush on Paul when I was young. I did end up marrying someone named "Paul" however!) and I hear there was not a ticket to be had for that concert! The local newspaper said he really rocked the house.
OH, I can believe that it was sold out. It's wonderful to know that he still puts on a fab concert.
I'd love to see him. Funny thing is that I've seen interviews of him and he's a bit different~very strange sense of humor. BUT he is still very good looking and he's one of the best musicians and songwriters who has ever lived. Oh, and I know there's GOT to be a better word then "songwriters" and I am kinda off topic, aren't I?
Ahhh, Paul, I was a Beatle Maniac as that all happened when I was in high school. I think I saw A Hard Days Night as many times as my folks would allow! I was lucky enough to have a pen pal in England before they hit the U.S. so I had all these cool pictures, and my friends were jealous! Wish I would have kept that stuff!
Anyways, it is very green here now because we've been getting the rain we should have had in June and July so for August unusually green. I'm also hoping fall will be awesome because of the cool July!
How is that for a save and back on topic (sorry boys for the sidetrack) but KK and Jammie just had to mention Paul!

If you did that around here you would be eaten alive by mosquitoes. Not a good idea. And I'm serious. I have to put on long sleeved shirts and pants at night here because if not, and I am outside, I will be devoured by mosquitoes.
Ya, you sweat like hell, but it's better than scratching all night long.
I would wear insect repellent but I hate that stuff and have somewhat of an allergic reaction to it.
