So we travel out of state and....
This happens north of us. 70 mph straight lines is what we heard.
Notice the siding and trim in the second picture. This was sent to me by a client, not the person mentioned in the next paragraph.
One of my wife's employees who farms in North Central Iowa north of Ames called to say he was going to miss a meeting. Half the siding was stripped off his house, all the windows on the West side were blown into the house, and his crops were gone. Stripped to the ground. I'll wager he has more problems than just those, but she's not heard any more from him.
We were lucky, it stayed north of us.

OH my!!! I'm thinking that may be in the same area our local station had a news story on last night. They showed windows knocked out of a glass house. Yea, that kinda confused me, too. It does look like there was a lot of damage there and the hail was pretty good sized, too.

Wow! Serious stuff! Hope everyone is o.k. and the crop losses aren't drastic.

Moral of the story is "no more traveling for you." . It made me think of last year when we drove down to Ohio from AK. Our 2nd night there in Ohio with relatives, heavy rains and very strong winds came; that part of Ohio we were in lost power for a week...ugh and it was hot.
Then on our trip back to AK. we ran into really nasty storms in Illinois and Wisconsin. I believe it was in Wisconsin where we pulled over early to get a motel and a tornado touched down about 10 miles from where we were. Scarey stuff. I'm glad no one was hurt.

Hey Tek, was not traveling and just saw some pics of damage of baseball size hail. Terrible, I have never seen damage like that from hail!
