All in all, a very average month temp wise, and a pile of crap in terms of cloud cover and lack of sunshine It was also wet, with 14 days of rain totalling 67mm. Melbourne also continually missed out on all heatwaves heating bloody Sydney, where it was the hottest September on record, with 3 days over 30C/86F and only four below 20C (one of those a 19.9.) Thbey also had 90 hours more sunshine than Icy cold cloudy Melbourne..

I don't care what the standards 10000 miles away are, I'm speaking in relative terms by aussie standards. And by this country's standards, the amount of cloudiness and lack of warmth, especially considering that places barely 5 hours drive north had much higher temps, is quite depressing.

It was about 1c/2f warmer than average, and very dry. Sunshine was about average.
