Live in the tropics with high dew points so I use heat index more than the actual temp.

Blazing = 45c+
Hot = 32-45c
Warm = 25-32c
Cool = 17-25c
Cold = Below 17c

Heat index pretty constant 30-50c over summer and average 17c minimums in the coldest month.

Talking temp characterization

assuming moderate humidity and calm conditions:
100s F = Hellish
90s F = Torrid
80s F = Hot
70s F = Warm
60s F = Mild (or perfect)
50s F = Cool (great cycling weather)
40s F = Chilly (great hiking weather)
30s F = Cold
20s F = Freezing
10s F = Frigid
0s F = Arctic

You know, I wonder what causes perception of temperature (or at least preference) to differ from person to person

Assuming no wind, and average humidity:
Blazing: >97*F
Hot: 76-96*F
Warm: 68-75*F
Mild: 55-67*F
Cool: 35-54*F
Cold: <35*F
Frigid: Never experienced without the help of wind

(I dislike the sensation of heat more than cold though, so this isn't a comfort index)

I love how relative these all are. One person from Cairns Australia who thinks below 17C (62F) is cold.
Others who think hot is about 21C+ 70F.

I read about a 'heatwave' in Iceland, where temperatures were around 16C, 60F and people were complaining of the heat.

In Ireland, with such a consistently cool climate with a small temperature range, this might be about right:

Blazing: 30C + (once a decade)
Hot: 23-29C (usually only a few times a summer)
Warm: 16-22C (usual summer highs)
Mild: 13-16 Much of spring and autumn
Cool:9 - 12 (Early spring, late winter)
Cold Day: Below 4C
Cold Night: below 0C

Frigid: Less than -5C
