US City with Best and Worst Climate, and why?
I would say Imperial Beach (near San Diego), California, because of it's very mild winters, mild summers, and low rainfall (although my ideal would be a bit more, perhaps at least 20 inches).
A close second perhaps Honolulu.
The worst, possibly Davenport, Iowa. Bitterly cold winters, hot, humid (unlike the rather dry summers further north) summers, and exciting but dangerous natural phenomena like tornadoes and blizzards.

From a variety and interest point of view.
Best - Dallas, TX. Severe thunderstorms in spring and summer, very hot summers, comfortable winters, occasional cold snaps in winter but not often, plenty of sunshine.
Worst: Anywhere in Alaska or the northern continental states in winter,all too cold.

For the best~I can think of several places but they are hotter and more humid then many people prefer. 
For the worst, I'd say it's my neighboring Minn. The northern parts of the state get extremely cold. A couple of their cities generally win the "Battle of the iceboxes" for the day. Cutbank, Montana (also my neighbor) comes to mind, too.

However summer in a place like Minnesota is great. While a Phoenix summer is miserable their winter is excellent. These threads never seem to work unless we are talking about a specific season. |

Davenport, that is funny! I consider Davenport pretty tame compared to Upper Michigan, Minnesota, Upper Wisconsin in the winter!
I'll have to remember to check Davenport every day when I check temps in the midwest! |

Best: Miami, Tampa/Orlando, New Orleans, Houston, etc.
I also love climates like San Diego, Honolulu, Los Angeles, etc.

True, when my son was stationed in Pensacola , he and his family came for a visit to Minnesota in June. The week he was here was just about perfect weatherwise.
He commented on how he wished they had this lovely June weather back in Pensacola.
I told him that they do , they just call it March. |
