Hottest I remember is 110° at night in Tuscon, AZ in July 1964 and the coldest in January in NW MO of minus 20° without any windchill figured in. For a FL boy those are extreme.

Actual temp -27 in Chicago 1985, wind chill minus 83.

The other extreme 105 during the infamous 1995 heat wave when hundreds of people died.

I think this is when I really started hating extreme heat!
