We've been pretty lucky here in the northeast. Today was in the 30s, which felt pretty comfortable. I'm recovering from a cold, so I am enjoying the cold, fresh air.
Our lowest low in the forecast is around 5, which is bitter cold, but most days will be in the 20s.
That's unbelievable, the coldest windchill I've ever felt was 5 degrees.
It felt a lot warmer today even though it was still cold, our low was 30 degrees and it felt about 40F during the day, this is pretty much our average high & low.
Only 5? Most winters we at least have a few days with windchills below zero, which is physically painful if not properly dressed.
2/3's of the U.S. is suffering worst arctic blast ever, and you complain about low 70's for your summer weather??? Nope, no sympathy here unless you look in the dictionary.
Suppose to get down in the low teens this evening, then the next week is more of the same we've had since it dipped below freezing for highs around Christmas - teens and twenties.

You're fortunate. The coldest windchill I've ever felt was MINUS 90. I remember that morning so well cause you couldn't even breathe through a scarf that morning and my car wouldn't start. Of course, there were a limited number of cars that started that morning. It was horrible.
