Well, I'll share, I'm happy with our "normal" this year! The last 2 winters were above normal, both over 100" of snow, more than double what we should get so I'm happy!
I'm in Baltimore, and I've been measuring the snow all night. Currently at almost 1:30am we're getting thundersnow. There is thunder and lightning, and when this phenomenon occurs you can expect the rate of snow to be 2"-3"+ per hour. No doubt its coming down at least 2"/hr right now. I just measured about 9" so we will be well over a foot by daybreak. We can definetely get at least 2 feet by the time this storm is out of here, and possibly break the old record from the Presidents Day storm of 2003.
I think the Blizzard of 2003 will get bumped to #2 after this storm.
