Finally they burned down that disgusting Gävle Goat. Christmas doesn't feel right if the goat isn't in flames.

See you in hell, Gävle goat!

Savage Swedes! I always thought Swedes were docile, gentle creatures, but it appears they are just brutes! Burning down goats for no reason?! Kicking goats to pieces?! What is wrong with them?!

I'm actually laughing at the Wiki article timeline. I can imagine that happening here if a wooden goat was constructed.

"The goat was burnt down only six hours after it was assembled"
"In more than one instance, vandals were so eager to destroy the goat that they burned it before it was even installed"

Poor goat.

Incase you haven't noticed, til now, December has been 2-3°C above the long term averages - your nearest official station is 2.3°C above average - courtesy the met office.

All Nordics are savages on the inside, Swedes and Norwegians just want appear civilized and docile. Finns and Danes don't care anymore. And rumor has that it's not always Swedes who burn it down, people from all the neighboring countries have been involved at some point.

A Christmas tradition this as well. I see that in a Finnish tabloid 50% of the comments were in favor of burning the thing down, and 50% think it's brutish and wrong.

Here too. The mean temp is 0.8C, which is the normal November mean. +3.4C warmer than average. The average high should be 0C, now it's 3.5C.

No, in Northern Ireland. And the mean max temperature in all your nearest official stations is over 1°C higher than here, too.
